Oklahoma International Missions

Oklahoma International Missions is funded by regular monthly gifts from Free Will Baptist individuals and churches, as well as organizations like Oklahoma Women Active for Christ.

How You Can Support

Pastors and leaders in each local church must recognize their part in sending the missionary. Many churches put OKIM in as a percentage line item in their budget. The success of OKIM lies in regular monthly donations from a broad base of supporters. Every dollar you give to OKIM goes directly to missionary salaries and expenses. All overhead expenses are paid through cooperative giving. Missionaries get 100% of all gifts given to OKIM, based on each person's allocation and need. In addition to church budget giving, we encourage every person to consider what God would have you give to missions. A monthly donation given through your church will greatly enhance our ability to send missionaries to the lost.

Our Reach

OKIM missionaries are serving God on most continents including North America, South America, Europe, Asia, and Africa. We have mission churches in several US states, including Oklahoma.

Our Goal

The goal of Oklahoma International Missions (OKIM) is to take the gospel to the ends of the earth by sending Oklahoma Free Will Baptist missionaries across the globe. In cooperation with the Free Will Baptist Home and International Missions programs in Nashville, Tennessee. OKIM strives to underwrite the support for Oklahoma missionaries who go on our behalf. We give so they can go and share the gospel with every creature as Jesus commanded us.

According to the Joshua Project there are approximately 17,459 people groups in the world. It is estimated that 7,422 of these groups are considered unreached. This means that there are less than 2% of evangelical Christians in any of these people groups. This is translated to mean that there are approximately 3.23 billion unreached people in the world.

REACHING THE UNREACHED

Reaching the Unreached is an initiative to partner with individuals and churches to sponsor an indigenous church planter in an unreached people group. For just $150 per month, an indigenous church planter can work to evangelize an unreached people group. One unreached people group is the Lobi Tribe of Cote d’Ivoire, Africa. We have already identified and partnered with more than 10 Lobi pastors who are trained and active planting churches. Sponsoring partners are helping them go. These indigenous church planters are another layer to what we can do to help spread the Gospel around the world. This initiative is in no way intended to replace traditional missionaries. These trained Lobi church planters were trained by our missionaries in most cases and both have vital impacts in their areas of ministry.

The Oklahoma Free Will Baptist State Mission Board is partnering with other organizations that already have relationships with indigenous church planters. They are helping us by providing on the ground connections with unreached people groups and church planters and the national church. They also help provide accountability making sure that the church planter supported is a real person, planting a real church among unreached people groups around the world. In addition to our work in Africa, this program is supporting church planters in other restrict access countries. This initiative is not sponsored by OKIM and no OKIM funds have been allocated for this project. It is an opportunity for churches and individuals to be involved in reaching the unreached around the world. If you or your church are interested in sponsoring a church planter to an unreached people group, please contact our office at (405) 912-9036.
